Our Mission

At Hike O’ahu, we offer ethical outdoor experiences that protect the land, uplift local culture, and reconnect people to the world around them.

We’re proud to lead small group hiking tours that educate and inspire all while leaving no trace and giving back to the island. Our guides are stewards of the land, not just tour leaders. With every hike, we aim to promote mālama ‘āina, caring for the land and invite our guests to do the same.

Why We Exist

Mass tourism has taken a toll on Hawai’i. Trails are overrun, sacred places are disrespected, and local communities are too often left out of the story. We’re here to change that. By offering intentional, respectful, and educational outdoor experiences, we give both visitors and residents a way to experience O’ahu the right way.

What Makes Us Different

  • Portion of profits go to local conservation + education efforts

  • Volunteer options on select tours (trail cleanup, reef protection, and beach clean ups)

  • We collaborate with local historians, kūpuna (elders), and nonprofits

  • Ethical hiking + custom private tours away from overused areas

  • Future expansion into diving and ocean-based eco-charters
